Exploring an urban habitat at Campbell Park
Year 2 Oak Class had the most fantastic trip today. We walked to Campbell Park, spotting lots of human and physical features on the way and enjoying the sunshine. The Parks Trust did some amazing activities that built on and extended our scientific knowledge and understanding of our local area. We went on a living things hunt to see what can survive in the woodlands; found out about how the park is also used by humans; and finally put together some food chains and made our own mini-habitat for a creature using our imaginations and natural items we found on the ground.
