Tower of London trip
On Wednesday 8th June 2022, Year 6 went to the Tower of London following our Crime and Punishment topic. We had an amazing day and saw many London sights including, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye, Tower Bridge and the River Thames! While in the Tower of London, we ate lunch with an audience of watching Ravens; saw armour, swords and guns that have belonged to previous Kings, including Henry VIII; visited the Torture Tower where we saw the Rack and other implements of torture; watched the guards in action and saw the world famous Crown Jewels and Beefeaters. A special treat that coincided with our visit was the Superbloom display in the moat to celebrate the Queen's jubilee - the children (and adults) got to slide into the display and walk among the fabulous flower display. It was a wonderful day!
